Kapil Sharma Recalls Being DRUNK While Meeting Amitabh Bachchan; Says, ‘Mujhe Anxiety Ka Problem Tha, Woh Aarahe The Toh Laga 2 Le Lete Hain’
Kapil Sharma opened up about one of the darkest phases of his life and shared how he never had a drinking problem
Renowned comedian Kapil Sharma is currently busy promoting his upcoming movie Zwigato, has been shedding light on his life experiences and the darkest phases of his life. During a recent interaction the actor opened up about the time when he faced issues with anxiety and thought the only way to solve it was to take a drink or two. He went on to recall how he appeared in front of Amitabh Bachchan drunk, for which he later apologised.
In an interview with ETimes, Kapil spoke about the incident where he met with the veteran actor, who had come to voice-over one of his films, after drinking. He revealed that he never had a drinking problem, but always struggled with anxiety.it made him feel that he would never be able to face anyone, talk to anyone, couldn’t face a crowd while being on the stage. He went on to add, “Bachchan sahab ne bola ki main subha aaraha hoon. Kyuki meri film ke voice over ke liye aarahe the toh mera farz banta hai ki main jaake unke welcome ke liye khada rahun. Once reaching the venue, at eight in the morning, he came to know that the actor was done with his dubbing. He then requested to meet with Amitabh and express his gratitude. He added, “Maine jaake unke pair chuee aur bola ‘Thank you’.” It was after reaching home for the sets that the comedian sent a heartfelt apology to the 80-year-old actor. His response to Kapil’s apology was something that the comedian would always remember.
Talking about the apology he sent and Amitabh’s response, the 41-year-old recalled, “‘Sir, sorry mujhe aise aapke saamne nahi aana chhaiye tha’. Fir unhone Hindi mein bada aacha message likha ki ‘jeevan chunotiyon ka hi doora naam hai. Toh aap uthke dobara khade hoyi’.”
