Konkana Sen Sharma LOVES Jaya Bachchan’s ‘No-Nonsense Attitude When She Scolds The Paparazzi’; Recalls Working With The Veteran
Konkana Sen Sharma has heaped praises on Jaya Bachchan and recalled her experience of working with the veteran in Laaga Chunari Mein Daag
Veteran actress Jaya Bachchan often makes the headline for her ‘rude’ behaviour with the media. Most of the time whenever she is spotted during an outing, she gets brutally trolled by the netizens for her brutal comments against the paparazzi. While she remains unapologetic about it, for the past few months some celebrities have spoken against her and others have supported her. Konkana Sen Sharma too has revealed that she loves how the actress often scolds the paps.
During her interview with ETimes, while reminiscing about working with the veteran in Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007), Sharma revealed that she loves Jaya’s no-nonsense attitude. Quoted by Hindustan Times, she said, “I love her attitude even today when she scolds the paparazzi. I love her no-nonsense attitude. I love the way she carries herself with so much dignity, grace and humour. The 43-year-old actress recalled how she always felt loved and protected when she was with Bachchan. She explained how since she did the movie early in her career and it was shot in Benaras for a long time, she would often get homesick. It was one of the longest outdoor shoots. She recalled how the actress, who recently celebrated her 75th birthday, had taken her under her wings. She continued, “I will always be grateful. Of course, Dada (Pradeep Sarkar) and Rani (Mukerji) were fab. But Jaya di was special. I felt loved and protected by her warmth.”
On the work front, Jaya Bachchan will be next seen in Karan Johar’s comeback directorial movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi. The movie is said to be released on July 28, 2023.
