Karan Johar is doing Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, he also has Takht in the pipeline, featuring Alia and Janhvi Kapoor. And now, he has a project in mind that could get Alia and Janhvi together with Ranbir. Wouldn’t it be a casting coup of sorts?
Well, sounds unreal, but chances are this dream cast might become a reality, if Karan Johar has his way. The filmmaker is keen on making Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2 featuring the Bollywood’s sweethearts – Alia and Ranbir, and Karan’s latest find and powerhouse of talent, Janhvi Kapoor.
Ranbir Kapoor And Alia Bhatt With Karan Johar
On his radio show Calling Karan Season 2, a listeners asked him about the remake of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and the actors he would like to cast for the movie. Pat came Karan’s reply, “If I made Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2, I would cast Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor in it.”
Karan is especially close to the three actors. He had launched Alia Bhatt in Student Of The Year in 2012, and Janhvi in Dhadak, earlier this year. Talking about Ranbir Kapoor in an interview recently, Karan had called him his all time favourite actor.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) marked the directorial debut of Karan Johar. It featured Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji, in the lead roles.
