Kapil Sharma made Akshay Kumar wait for as long as five hours on the sets of a TV show... Old habits die hard, as they rightly say!
Kapil Sharma is back to doing what he does best. Well, besides comedy it's also the art of ditching big stars on the day of shoot. This time it was not on his show but on another superstar's show. It was Akshay Kumar who waited for five long hours for the comedian who ultimately canned the shoot.
It so happened that Kapil, who is back after a break of two
months, was supposed to be the
guest on Akshay Kumar's comedy TV show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
While Akshay likes to start shooting early in the morning, Kapil's team made them
change the time and decided to begin the shoot at 11 am. So when everyone
turned up on the sets at 10:30 am, Kapil didn't show up.
Furthermore, his phone was unreachable until 2 pm so the team had no
idea about his whereabouts. Akshay then suggested that they should shoot
without having Kapil on the show as they had anyway waited too long for him.
That's when someone from Kapil's team informed Akshay's team that Kapil wasn't
well and was advised rest by the doctors. The show makers were left with no option
but to make last minute alterations in the script.
According to Mumbai Mirror, judge Sajid Khan, said that he heard about Kapil's ill health and it is sad as they are looking forward to jam with him."
This isn't the first time Kapil Sharma has cancelled a shoot. He has cancelled shoots with Shah Rukh Khan and Imtiaz Ali for Jab Harry Met Sejal, Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor for Mubarakan, Paresh Rawal for Guest Inn London and Ajay Devgn and Ileana D'Cruz's for Baadhshao. In all the cases, stars had arrived on-the-sets and were sent back last moment due to Kapil’s ill health.
