Pooja Bhatt On Locking LIPS With Father Mahesh Bhatt: ‘It Was A Moment That Was Absolutely Innocent’

Bollywood actress and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt returned to the limelight years later after she participated in Bigg Boss OTT 2. She left everyone in awe of her strong-headed and frank personality. She left no stone unturned when it came to making bold revelations about her life experiences on the show. It seems like she has many other experiences she would like to share with the audience. During a recent interview she opened up about her and her father Mahesh Bhatt’s controversial photo, where they are seen locking lips for a magazine photoshoot in the 90s.
Having maintained silence on the same for over two decades now, Pooja recently opened up about the same in an interaction with Siddharth Kannan for his YouTube Channel. When asked if she feels any regret about that photo, the actress denied it by stating that it was very simple. She went on to express how unfortunate it is that a pure frozen moment can be ‘represented and misrepresented’ in any way. The 51-year-old actress went on to recall how Shah Rukh Khan had told her that when kids are young, they often ask for kisses from their parents. As their parents are about to peck them, they turn their heads. She explained that no matter hold she gets, she is still “wahi 10 pound ki bacchi” for her father, which will remain a constant for the rest of their lives. Quoted by DNA, the Sadak actress went on to add, “It was a moment that was absolutely innocent which was captured. Aur uske connotation jo hai, jinko padhna hai vo padhenge, jinko dekhna hai vo dekhenge. Aur main is cheej ko defend karne nahi baithi. Agar log baap aur beti ke rishte ko alag najariye se dekh sakte hai toh vo kuch bhi kar sakte hai. Fir hum baat karte hai family values ki.”
For the unversed, Pooja is Mahesh's eldest daughter from his first marriage with Kiran Bhatt aka Lorraine Bright. They also have a son Rahul Bhatt. The filmmaker went on to marry Soni Razdan, after he separated from his first wife. They have two daughters Shaheen Bhatt and Alia Bhatt.
