Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 roared at the box office and did a massive business of Rs 500 crore in the domestic circuit. With this, the Anil Sharma directorial became the only third Hindi film to achieve this feat after Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Prabhas' Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi). As of now, many media reports have claimed that the Ghayal actor has now hiked his fees up to Rs 50 crore per project. The actor has now reacted to these claims during a recent interview. Talking to Rajat Sharma on the Aap Ki Adalat show, Sunny said, “Paise kya lene hai nahi lene hai, woh to producer wahi dega jitna usse pata hai woh bana sakta hai aur actor bhi usi hisaab se paise lega jitna usse pata hai...(The producer will decide how much they want to pay an actor, depending on their estimates on how much they can earn from a particular film, and an actor would also charge according to how much he can help the film earn).” ALSO READ: DID YOU KNOW? However, the 65-year old actor further said that there is no harm if the actor charges Rs 50 crore for a film but it matters what he brings to the table. The Apne star further said, “If the producer believes they can offer me that compensation, I'm perfectly fine with it. I won't decline projects based on a specific payment figure; that's not my approach. I prefer being in a situation where a project isn't financially strained because of my fee.”

Gadar 2 also stars Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Simratt Kaur, and Manish Wadhwa in major roles, The film is a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.
