Bollywood has come together to support the families of Indian soldiers, who lost their lives in terror attack on February 14 in Jammu And Kashmir’s Pulwama district. A day back we reported that Amitabh Bachchan will be donating Rs 5 lakh each to the bereaved families of all the soldiers who died in the attack. And now, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ronnie Screwvala and many other Bollywood celebs have come forward to contribute for the martyrs.

Akshay Kumar has vowed to donate Rs 5 crore through Bharat Ke Veer — a fundraising initiative of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, to the soldiers. Taking to social media, the Khiladi Kumar has urged his fans also to do the same. He tweeted, “#Pulwama is something we cannot & will not forget.We’re all angry & it’s time to act. So act now, donate to the martyrs of Pulwama on bharatkeveer.gov.in. There’s no better way to pay homage to them & show your support.This is the only official site, pls don’t fall prey to fakes.”


Kiren Riju, Minister of State For Home Affairs thanked Salman Khan and wrote, “Thank you @BeingSalmanKhan on offering to contribute for Pulwama Martyrs through BEING HUMAN FOUNDATION. I'll work out for handing over of the cheques in the account of #BharatKeVeer @BharatKeVeer


Diljit Dosanjh shared the receipt of his contribution to the CRPF and wrote, “Our Soldiers Protect the Country and the Citizens of the country. They have to live away from their loved ones, not knowing what the next day will bring. The families don’t know when will they see them next. But there was always a hope which is now gone for these families. We can’t take the sorrow away but can try to help a little by donating. It’s our time to do something to help the families of our Shaheed Jawans in this Difficult Time 🙏🏽 WE STAND WITH THE SOLDIERS AND THEIR FAMILIES”


TV couple Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey also contributed Rs 3 lakh to the families of martyrs and captioned the post as, “Yes we could have done this privately ...but we too got inspired to take action and contribute whatever little we could because we saw one of our peers post ...I hope it inspires others to contribute and support .. #JaiHind #JaiBharat #pulwama


Uri: The Surgical Strike team united with the RSVP to contribute Rs 1 crore to the families of CRPF troopers. Ronnie Screwvala tweeted, "RSVP &Team URI committed Rs. 1 Cr to families of URI attack /Army Welfare Fund -will ensure part goes to victims #Pulwama ..but urge more to respond -in small lots - and also our Indian “Unicorns” to donate graciously.”
