Salman Khan was spotted getting emotional, as he paid his last respects to late actor Satish Kaushik
Veteran actor Satish Kaushik’s sudden passing has left a void in Bollywood. The filmmaker left for his heavenly abode on Wednesday night due to a heart attack. A day after celebrating the festival of colours at Javed Akhtar’s residence, he had gone to Delhi to visit a friend when he felt uneasy and restless. His funeral took place on Thursday evening, which was attended by his family, close friends and many notable Bollywood celebrities.
Salman Khan too was present during the last rites. They had worked closely with each other on many projects. Not only as actors, but Salman had also starred in the later filmmaker’s directorial venture Tere Naam. in a video, shared by a fan account, the 57-year-old actor is seen shedding tears as he bids adieu to the veteran. The Radhe actor had also taken to Twitter to express his shock and sadness at Satish's unexpected departure. He wrote, “Always loved cared n respected him n shall alway remember him for the man that he was . The late actor is survived by his wife Sashi and their 10-year-old daughter Vanshika.
For the unversed, Satish Kaushik was an alumnus of the National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India. After starting his career in theatre, he went on to make a name for himself in Bollywood as an actor, director, producer, screenwriter and a comedian. He has movies like Mr India, Deewana Mastana, Brick Lane, Saajan Chale Sasural, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Prem, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain and Tere Naam among many others to his credit. He will be last seen in Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency.
