Shah Rukh Khan And Hrithik Roshan’s Night Of Restlessness
Ever since morning, the producers and exhibitors had sat down for a meeting to decide on the division of shows between Raees and Kaabil. We were hoping to come back with news of a concrete plan but...

The two superstars in question will definitely spend a sleepless night today over the number of shows that will finally fall in their kitty.

SpotboyE.com has it that the meeting ended on an inconclusive note. No amount of persuasion, aggression and cajoling (it was all happening out there) could help to precipitate a solution.

Around 6 pm, PVR  decided to open 1 audi for Kaabil in every outlet of their chain, which means 5 shows in every multiplex. However, it has still not opened Raees.

Cinepolis has been a little more accommodating. Devang Sampat, Head of Cinepolis' Strategic Initiatives, told SpotboyE.com, “We have allotted 1 audi each for Raees and Kaabil i.e 5 shows each. We opened the advance around 7 pm.  We will decide on the other audis by tomorrow.”

PVR, being the multiplex leader, will play a large role in deciding the behaviour of other multiplexes towards the two films in question. Smaller chains tend to take the same path as decided by PVR.

It is a sad state of affairs that despite two big and exciting films opening in less than 60 hours from now, most movie buffs are not sure which one they'll see first and when.

Raees produced by Shah Rukh Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar and directed by Rahul Dholakia has Mahira Khan as the leading lady, while Kaabil produced by Rakesh Roshan and directed by Sanjay Gupta has Yami Gautam as her counterpart.

Stay tuned for further updates on this edge-of-the-seat war. It's getting too hot to handle, at least for the multiplexes whose Programming Heads we're told are tearing their hair out!
