Sonakshi Sinha Accused Of Cheating Event Organiser: Police Reaches Her Residence To Record Statement
Sonakshi Sinha had been accused of cheating by an event organizer for not turning up to perform at a stage show last year and not returning Rs 24 lacs taken in this regard
Sonakshi Sinha had been accused of cheating by an event organizer named Pramod Sharma in February this year. In March however, Allahabad High Court stayed the arrest of Sonakshi in connection with a criminal case lodged against her for allegedly cheating an event organiser in Moradabad.
According to the complainant who told ANI, the actress was supposed to perform at an event in Delhi at a stage show on September 13 last year and she was apparently even paid an amount of Rs 24 lacs, but did not turn up and the event management company incurred losses. We have now heard that the Moradabad Police has reached Mumbai. They have gone to Sonakshi’s Juhu residence (Ramayana) to record her statement, but she is currently not at home.
On the professional front, Sonakshi was last seen in Karan Johar’s production Kalank, that saw an ensemble cast of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt but didn’t live up to expectations. Next, she will be seen in Khandaani Shafakhana which also stars rapper Badshah and Varun Sharma. Post that, she has Dabangg 3 opposite Salman Khan, then Mission Mangal with Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu followed by Bhuj: The Pride of India co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn.
