It wasn't exactly a happy week to be honest. The bad news outweighed the good ones. It's time to quickly classify the GOOD, BAD and UGLY happenings of the week gone by
Salman Khan (GOOD): Fans of Salman Khan can rejoice as the superstar is returning with the second instalment of Kick and it will be releasing in Dec 2021, as confirmed by director Sajid Nadiadwala.
Shabana Azmi (BAD): On Jan 18, senior actress Shabana Azmi met with a fatal accident at Mumbai-Pune Expressway and was severely injured as her car rammed into a truck. She was soon brought to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai and is in ICU. Her lyricist-husband Javed Akhtar has been sharing updates on the actress’ health is showing signs of improvement. We wish her a speedy recovery!
Saroj Khan (UGLY): When veteran choreographer Saroj Khan accused Ganesh Acharya for dividing Cine Dance Association (CDA) and manipulating the dancers, little did she imagine what was awaiting her. Acharya in return, released a shocking video in which Khan is seen saying “Inauguration ke liye mujhe bulaya tha aur bola paisa denge. Maine bola pehle maal nikalo. Unhone mujhe maal diya, maine inauguration kiya.” Things definitely turned ugly thereon.
Deepika Padukone (BAD): Deepika went all out promoting Chhapaak, so much so that she even did an activity with an influencer on TikTok asking to recreate 3 of her favourite looks which included the look of the acid attack survivor. The actress was massively trolled as several netizens felt that she turned a serious topic into a joke through the challenge.
Kamya Panjabi (GOOD): Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki actress Kamya Panjabi is in a happy space. The actress is all set to tie the knot with her Delhi-based boyfriend Shalabh Dang on Feb 10 and the preparations have begun in full swing.
Shweta Basu Prasad (BAD): A month after announcing her split with husband Rohit Mittal, actress Shweta Basu Prasad has not filed for divorce. Nothing to smile about here, as separations are always bad. However, the actress told us that she and Rohit will continue to remain friends.
Ritu Nanda (BAD): Last week, Rishi Kapoor’s sister Ritu Nanda passed away after a long battle with cancer. Several celebs paid their last respects to the lady post her demise.
Garima Jain (GOOD): Things are definitely brighter for Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki actress Garima Jain as she has as many as 5 shows in her kitty which includes Gandii Baat 4. The two year break helped her a great deal, we can say!
Paras Chhabra (BAD): This Weekend ka Vaar, we saw Paras Chhabra in the spotlight for the wrong reasons though. His close proximity to Mahira Sharma in the Bigg Boss 13 house is costing him dearly as his girlfriend Akanksha Puri is fuming with anger. Host Salman Khan also lectured Paras on the same and indeed, the contestant seemed to be in a fix. We hope better sense prevails soon!
Shivangi Joshi (GOOD): Just like Hina Khan sashayed on the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival last year, this year, we will see TV actress Shivangi Joshi sizzle at the festival.
