There's A Narendra Modi In Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike--- And Guess Who Plays It!
Honestly, it doesn't come as a surprise to see a Narendra Modi in Vicky Kaushal-Yami Gautam starrer Uri, which has just concluded its press show a few minutes back in Fun Republic.

There's Vicky who leads the Jawab Hum Denge and Don't Mess With Us attack against Pakistan in revolt of the September 8, 2016 attack. the Army Senior is played by Paresh Rawal, and then there's someone who virtually says 'Let's show 'em". Of course it is not said in words that he says anything of such sort but it is clear from his meeting with Vicky and other soldiers what he wants.

And do you know who essays his part? Rajit Kapur! The man has done a good job- especially the way he walks and sits- his body language has a striking resemblance to Modi. The make-up artiste has also done a good job; Rajit looks so much like the Prime Minister. His entry scene too is quite interesting, he is walking with Rawal away from the viewer and hence only his back is shown- and then when he turns around, there are gasps in the theatre. Rajit has quite a few scenes though the credit titles show him to have a cameo. Rajit, who has done several roles and the memorable one in Raazi as Alia Bhatt's father, has always stood out in almost every part that he has played so far- big or small.

It becomes crystal clear that he is playing the PM when Vicky promises him that he and his team will return unscathed after the surgical strikes and then would love to dine with him at his residence. And when that happens, there is a ticker at the bottom of the screen: 7, Race Course Road.

Uri, produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Aditya Dhar, also stars Kirti Kulhari, Swaroop Sampat in important roles. The film is slated to hit theatres on Friday, January 11.
