THROWBACK! When Twinkle Khanna Recalled Aamir Khan Wanted To Slap Her For Thinking About Akshay Kumar; Told Him, ‘You Made A Face’
Aamir Khan and Twinkle Khanna had opened up about working with each other during the launch of her book
Bollywood actress and author Twinkle Khanna is known for her sharp-mouth. She never fails to amaze the audience with her blunt statements. She had left filmmaker Karan Johar and Mela co-star Aamir Khan stunned when she had revealed that the latter nearly slapped her for thinking about her ten-boyfriend and now-husband Akshay Kumar.
It was during the launch of her first book Mrs Funnybones in 2015, when the actress made the revelation, which had left everyone shocked. Karan had asked Aamir what he thought about Twinkle as an actress and his experience working with her. While the 3 Idiots actor was thinking about his answer, she intervened by recalling the incident. As quoted by Hindustan Times, she had said, “Once he asked me, 'what are you doing? Why are you behaving like this? You are not even focusing on work'. I said, 'I am thinking about Akshay'. He almost slapped me. I still remember we were somewhere outdoors.”Aamir perplexed with her answer, asked her, “Did I? No.”
When the 48-year-old said that he did, Khan said, “I won't have reacted that way.” Twinkle proceeded to say, “Yeah, you just made a face.”
Further during the interaction, Aamir had shared that the author was really talented in insulting people. He said, “I thought she was fantastic. All of us have different abilities, I mean that. And Twinkle is really talented in some of the most amazing activities like insulting people. She is an expert in insulting people. For the unversed, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna got married in 2001. Today they are proud parents of two – son Aarav and daughter Nitara. The actress, who recently celebrated her birthday, had quit acting to focus on her family. She had then ventured into writing books. She has written Mrs Funnybones (2015), The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad (2017) and Pyjamas Are Forgiving, a book that will be released next year.
