The makers of Veere Di Wedding starring Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania dropped the trailer online, yesterday.
Since the film is produced by Ekta Kapoor, many of her TV industry friends shared the trailer on their social media accounts.
One of them was Divyanka Tripathi, who shared the trailer captioning it, “My next #MustWatch!😍 These ladies are Soooooo good in the trailer! @ektaravikapoor
As soon as the actress shared the trailer on her account, one of the trolls commented, “Boycott the movie"
And guess what did Divyanka reply?
Soon after reading the comment, the actress came to Ekta's rescue and bashed the person by replying, "Rather boycott you?"
Well, this is what is called shutting down the troll like a boss!
For those who have come in late, it all started when a columnist named Shefali started ranting against Bollywood celebrities who protested against the Kathua, Unnao and Surat rape cases. She believed that this is hypocrisy as Bollywood supports skin show. Swara & Sonam were also a part of the protest and have been getting trolled since then for their comments on rape cases. Thus, the comment “Boycott the movie".
Talking about Kareena, Sonam, Swara and Shikha starrer Veere Di Wedding trailer, It tells the tale of four friends, “at an uncertain age” trying to “figure life out”. The actresses share impeccable camaraderie and give you a number of laugh out loud moments.
The film, directed by Khoobsurat director Shashanka Ghosh, also marks Sonam and Rhea’s first film collaboration. Veere Di Wedding is all set to hit theatres on June 1.
