Ujda Chaman Actress Maanvi Gagroo Was 'Not Interested' To Do The Film Until She Ticked THIS Checkbox- EXCLUSIVE

There have been many cases where a certain actor or actress has turned down an offer for various reasons. Recently, Ujda Chaman actress, Maanvi Gagroo narrated a very interesting incident to us which, where she revealed how the actress almost did not do Ujda Chaman.
We got talking to Maanvi on various topics, and one of them was this.
"I was asked to put on 15 kg for the role in Ujda Chaman. I didn't want to do that." You see, I was shooting for 2 more projects simultaneously- Four More Shots Please Season 2 and Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saaavdhan.
The makers, who also thought that Maanvi suited the role well, cracked an alternative and went back to her with the offer.
Maanvi said, "Yeah, they came back and said we will be using padding and that I wouldn't have to gain any weight for it, which solved my concern. So, I went ahead with it. However, that was not the end to my problems."
The actress further added that she tried the padding 4 to 5 times but it was extremely uncomfortable for her. "There was too much padding on my thighs, hips, arms, everywhere. It got so difficult to even breathe in it. My movements were restricted and I couldn't emote properly," Maanvi elaborated.
The Ujda Chaman makers had a discussion with her when Maanvi addressed her problems and suggested making a fat-suit for her. Finally, she was given a fat-suit to wear but that also did not solve the purpose, at least not immediately.
"By this time, I had almost lost interest in the film, because I was just not able to perform. It was getting too difficult. Add this to the fact that i was required to shoot a lot outdoors in the heat," said Maanvi.
Just then, another fat-suit was ordered for her, this time solving the issues and Maanvi could finally wear and perform freely in it at the same time. "It was well-foamed." Thank God for it!
