Vicky Kaushal On Reports Of The Immortal Ashwatthama Getting Shelved: ‘There Will Be A Better Time To Make That Film’
There has been a strong industry buzz that said Vicky Kaushal’s much-awaited film The Immortal Ashwatthama got shelved due to budget restrictions. This movie would be the actor's second film with his Uri director Aditya Dhar. Ronnie Screenwala however decided to shelve the film due to the ongoing issues, albeit temporarily. Other members of the team had however maintained silence on this topic. But now Vicky has addressed the question, and assured that there would be a better time to make the movie.

Vicky told PTI news agency, “There will be a better time to make that film. More than disheartening, it is that thing that any film should be made at the best time for that film.” “Every time the film is bigger than me or any individual attached to the film. So, we have to choose a time that justifies making that film. So, we are waiting for that time to come,” the actor added.

The team had planned to shoot for the film in April 2021, but had to push the schedule ahead due to the second wave of the pandemic.  The Immortal Ashwatthama would see Vicky playing a role inspired by warrior Ashwatthama from the ancient epic, Mahabharata.
Work-wise, Vicky Kaushal's next film, Sardar Udham is a biographical film based on the life of a revolutionary freedom fighter who assassinates Michael O'Dwyer to avenge the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The movie will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on October 16, 2021. ALSO READ: Vicky Kaushal Reveals Getting ‘13 Facial Stitches’ Before Starting ‘Sardar Udham’ Shoot
