Wait, Why Did Deepika Padukone Burn Up Her Prosthetics On The Sets Of Chhapaak?
Actress Deepika Padukone who plays an acid attack survivor in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak, burnt the prosthetics used in the movie on the wrap-up of shoot. Chhapaak releases on January 10, 2020. The actress plays the role of Malti in the movie based on Laxmi Agarwal’s real life incident
After Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, Deepika Padukone chose to take her personal life on priority. The actress after the release of her last got busy with her wedding preparations with beau Ranveer Singh in 2018, with ultimately tying the knot in 2018 in a lavish wedding in Italy away from the media glare. Now with just 2 months away to bid 2019 a big good bye, the actress is geared up for the release of her first movie post the wedlock titled Chhapaak.
While many actors are heard to keep souvenirs from the movie as memory, Dippy chose the otherwise, to leave it behind and move on. The actress who played an acid attack survivor, Malti was seen sporting prosthetics to get the bang on look, burnt a piece of it. As per reports in DNA, Dippy was quoted saying, “I took the piece of the prosthetics took an alcohol, went to a corner and burnt it.” The movie is based on the real life survivor of acid attack Laxmi Agarwal, directed by Meghna Gulzar.
In month of June, director had announced the wrap up of the film with an emotional note on her Instagram account. Her post read, “And we wrapped #chhapaak. Malti... Amol... I will carry you with me. Thank you for your faith and for pouring yourself into our film!”
Along with Chhapaak which is set to release on January 10, 2020; she will be next seen sharing screen space with hubby Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s ’83, releasing in April 10, 2020.
