What’s Cooking Between Ashutosh Gowariker And Prerna Arora?

Ashutosh Gowariker is the filmmaker who has given us memorable films like Lagaan, Swades and Jodhaa Akbar. Prerna Arora is the producer who has taken Bollywood by storm with films like Toilet:Ek Prem Katha, Padman, Parmanu, Fanney Khan, Kedarnath and Pari. And it looks like Ashutosh Gowariker and Prerna Arora may join forces soon.

Gowariker is hoping to return to the audience’s good books after a disappointing run at the box-office with his last release Mohenjo Daro. And it looks like Prerna is ready to back him.

They are discussing two movies- the first project being discussed by them will be a co-production between KriArj and Gowariker, which will be directed by a newcomer. The second will be produced by KriArj and directed by Gowariker and this project is likely to go on floors first.

Interestingly, Gowariker has decided to move away from period dramas and his next will be a slice-of-life, contemporary, light-hearted film.

After wrapping up Mohenjo Daro, Gowariker had acted in Priyanka Chopra’s production Ventilator which went on to win a National Award.

Earlier, reports had claimed that Gowariker’s next will be an action-packed thriller with Farhan Akhtar headlining the cast. But it looks like Gowariker is focusing on a different project now.
