Zaira Wasim Makes Her Insta Private But Advocates ‘Optimism In Adversity’; Says, “Don’t Let Your Fire Go Out”

Zaira Wasim shocked one and all when she announced her resignation from Bollywood films on social media, citing religious reasons. The actress, who made a mark in Bollywood at the age of 18 with two big films like Dangal and Secret Superstar, sparked a debate on Twitter with her shocking announcement. Post her decision, Raveena had also called Zaira ungrateful for quitting the films, but later she apologised for doing the same. Not only this, but she had also deleted her tweet after stumbling upon a video that seems to be the reason she quit films.

Since the actress informed her fans about her decision of not doing films anymore, there has been radio silence from Zaira’s side. Be it herself or her family, no one came out and spoke about her decision publicly. Now, for the first time since her resignation, we noticed suspicious activity on Zaira’s Instagram account after she posted a cryptic post.  She shared a picture of what looks like a wall and captioned it, “Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. //Ayn Rand”

Ever since, Zaira’s announcement, Bollywood celebs gave their stance on actress’ decision. During the Wakhra Swag song launch, when Kangana Ranaut was asked about her take on Zaira Wasim’s decision of quitting Bollywood. She told the media, “I think any religion should empower you. It should make you independent, make you fulfil your life and if you think your life is already fulfilled, there's plenty of work around you. Try and help your family and friends. Kaveri is drying up. There's so much to do. So work and try and fulfil the environment around you. The essential fundamental requirement of any religion is to empower you, not disempower you.”

While Anupam Kher, who also hails from Kashmir, had told ANI, “Anupam Kher told ANI, “He said, "I think it's a tragedy. I think it's a tragedy that a 16-17-year-old girl has to make a decision like that. I do respect her sentiments, I do respect that it's her individual choice. But as a person I feel sad she had to make a decision like this of her flourishing career. On the one hand, we talk about women empowerment and on the other hand we say that it's not like that. Personally, I feel she should not have done that. But she is an independent girl and our country gives everybody a fundamental right to choose what they want to choose."
