We all loved Ajay Devgn when he played the iconic Marathi police officer Bajirao Singham. This time he will play the role of Maharashtra’s pride and Shivaji Maharaj’s closest Subhedar in the battle of Sinhagad, ‘Tanhaji Malusare’.

The title itself recognizes that ‘Tanhaji’ is the hero who contributed to fulfilling Shivaji Maharaj’s dream of ‘Swarajya’. Kajol plays the wife of Tanhaji, Savitribai Malusare in this historical film. The couple looks adorable in the typical Maratha attire.

It is after 10 years, that 'husband and wife' are reuniting on the silver screen. What makes the film all the more special is this is Ajay’s 100th film and he wants to make it all the more special by playing the role of a Maratha Subhedar!

The fans all across Bollywood and Maharashtra are excited to witness this mega movie that has a power-packed star cast like Saif Ali Khan, Sharad Kelkar, Luke Kenny, Padmavati Rao, Jagapathi Babu, Devdatta Nage, Pankaj Tripathi, Neha Sharma, Ajinkya Deo, Hardik Sangani, etc.

What has added to all the excitement is the announcement by Taran Adarsh on his Instagram stating that the movie will be released in Marathi apart from the original Hindi language.

Actor Ajay Devgan and Director Om Raut want to pay a tribute to the Marathi history and language by releasing the movie in the mother tongue of the great Maratha warrior. Kajol, who is a half-Maharashtrian being Tanuja’s daughter, is thrilled at this new development.

Fans across Maharashtra are welcoming the film with open arms and are excited to see the masterpiece helmed by talented filmmaker Om Raut.
