Talk of romantic films and Yash Chopra comes to mind. The master story teller has given Indian cinema numerous unforgettable gems such as Lamhe, Silsila, Dil To Pagal Hai and Veer Zaara among others.  Today marks the legendary filmmaker’s 84th birth anniversary and on the occasion, songstress Lata Mangeshkar took to Twitter to pay a tribute to him. The tweet talks about the special bond the two shared and how the singer still misses him. She also posted link of his favourite song, Tere Liye from Veer Zaara (2004). Have a look.

A few days ago, SpotboyE.com had told you that the Nightingale of India has added another feather to her cap. She was recently conferred Bengal's highest civilian honour--- the Banga Bibhushan. The Chief Minister of Bengal Mamata Banerjee had announced the news on her Facebook page. The delighted CM even went on to congratulate Lataji for her marvellous career. The award ceremony will be held on October 20. Mamata along with Sanjeev Goenka (Chairman of the music label Saregama) and a few other distinguished guests will hand over the award to Ms Mangeshkar. The Banga Bibhushan is to honour her contribution to Bengali music and the award ceremony will happen in Mumbai (Lata Mangeshkar Has A Birthday Wish!, Sept 24).
