Singer Arijit Singh’s Mother No More, Succumbs To COVID-19 In Kolkata
As per reports singer Arijit Singh’s mother passes away at 11am today, she had tested positive COVID-19 and was admitted at a Kolkata hospital
Singer Arijit Singh’s mother breathed her last today at 11am as per reports in Aaj Tak.in. After testing positive for COVID-19, she was undergoing her treatment in a Kolkata hospital where she breathed her last. She was reportedly on ECMO for the last few days and her condition deteriorated. We pray for her soul to rest in peace. However, so far no official confirmation or statement has been released by the family. The singer was said to be very close to his mother.
When the news of his mother being hospitalised had hit the internet, filmmaker Srijit Mukherji, taking to his Twitter account, was seen asking for help. He tweeted, “I want this negative donor for singer Arijit Singh's mother in Dhakuria Amri tomorrow. Enthusiastic blood donors can contact Nitasha on…” Actress Swastika Mukherjee too had Tweeted, “Need A- blood for singer Arijit Singh’s mother, admitted in Amri Dhakuria. Need it today. Pls contact @swatihihihi with verified MALE DONORS.”
Many Bollywood celebs too joined the league, asking for help and praying for her speedy recovery.
Post which Arijit thanked everyone for their support in his Facebook post that read, “It is my humble request to those who are trying to help me at this hour, Please Do not overdo things just because you see a name called Arijit Singh Until we learn to respect each individual, We are not going to elevate ourselves from this disaster. I am thankful to people who reached out and helped but please remember we are all human beings. Every individual is priority.”
