Megastar Rajinikanth Meets Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin; Actor Donates Rs 50 Lakh For COVID-19 CM Relief Funds
Megastar Rajinikanth is the latest one to jump on the bandwagon of stars contributing towards the COVID-19 relief funds. The actor met Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin at St. George Fort Chennai, video and pictures of which made their way to the internet. The actor donated Rs. 50 Lakhs to the COVID-19 relief funds as he met MK Stalin, he heads the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam political party. The news and pictures of their meeting were shared on the official Twitter account of the political party.

Their Tweet read, “'Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr.@mkstalin He was met by film actor Mr Rajinikanth who provided Rs. 50 lakhs to the General Relief Fund for corona prevention measures.” One of the media personnel also sharing these pictures, penned the actor’s quote in his tweet. The Robot actor was quoted saying, “Only if the people of #TamilNadu abide by the rules and regulations imposed by the govt, can #Corona be defeated!!!”

Along with the actor, filmmaker Vetri Maaran too contributed Rs.10 Lakhs for CM relief funds.

The actor received his second shot of COVID-19; daughter Soundarya shared the picture of her father taking the jab on her Instagram account. 

On the work front, he completed filming the portions of his upcoming movie Annaatthhe in Hyderabad and then returned to Chennai. Directed by Siruthai Siva, it will have Meena, Khushbu, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Prakash Raj and many others to be seen with the superstar.
