Tamil actress Nayanthara and her filmmaker hubby Vignesh Shivan welcomed their twin boys Uyir & Ulagam via surrogacy in October 2022. After being embroiled in controversy over taking illegal measures to conceive their kids, the star couple was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Wednesday afternoon. The couple carried their children in their arms as they got out of the car.
The proud parents did their best to protect their little munchkins from the flashing lights of the paparazzi as they made their way inside the airport. Opting for casual clothing, the twins were also dressed in matching red and black chequered dungarees and black t-shirts. Once the video of the family went viral on social media, fans took to the comment section to gush about the couple. While some naysayers as usual pointed out why celebrities call paps to cover them when they are adamant on hiding their kids’ face, fans flooded the comment section with adorable emojis. One fan wrote, “It's not that they don't want them to show their faces but the camera flashes are not good for kids.” Another fan said, “As a parent they are protecting their children from crazy criticism and most importantly the flash from the camera which is very harmful to children. For the unversed, Nayanthara and Vignesh tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in June 2022. They became the talk of the town after allegations were made against them for using illegal measures to conceive their twins. The couple had then submitted all necessary documents to prove that they indeed did not break any laws of surrogacy.
On the work front, Nayanthara will be seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Athlee’s directorial Jawan. The movie also stars Vijay Sethupati in a pivotal role.
