‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ producer Asit Kumarr Modi lately has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. From sexual harassment to non-payment issues, several actors have come forward and shared their ordeal in the public. After Jennifer Mistry Baniswal and Monika Bhadoriya, now Priya Ahuja who played the role of Rita Reporter in the show, has spoken up against Asit. In a new interview, Priya revealed that the behaviour of Asit Modi and his team changed after she tied the knot with the director, Malav Rajda.
Speaking with Etimes TV, Priya Ahuja, who has been a part of the show for 14 long years, admitted that artists on the show have gone through mental harassment and that she too was subjected to it. But it did not affect her much because her husband Malav-who was the director of the show was earning. Priya was quoted as saying, “As far work is concerned I’ve been subjected to unfair treatment. After I got married to Malav they reduced my track. It was no longer how it used to be. I’ve been clueless about my track in the show after pregnancy and when Malav left the show. I messaged Asit bhai so many times asking him about my track in the show but there has been no response. Sometimes he would comment “Arre tujhe kaam karne ki kya zarurat hai i Malav is working Na”. I’m an individual and I did not get his show before I got married to Malav. I was a part of this show before I got married.”

Former TMKOC actor Priya spoke about her bad experience of working with Asit after Jennifer Mistry Baniswal filed a Police complaint against the producer for sexual harassment. Monika Bhadoriya also lashed out at Asit and revealed he tortured and harassed her during her stint on the show. However, the producer released a statement denying Jennifer's allegations and stated he would take legal action against the actor for defaming him and his show.
