Surbhi Chandna And Nakuul Mehta Starrer Ishqbaaaz Journey Comes To An End, Gul Khan Bids Farewell
After much back and forth happening on whether Surbhi Chandna's exit will force the makers to agree into the pleas of #EndIshqbaaaz, it seems the makers have given in. Producer Gul Khan has decided to call the curtains on the show
From quite some time, Star Plus’ Ishqbaaaz has been making headlines. All thanks to the development that is being planned to revamp the show. Surbhi Chandna’s exit from the story disappointed her fans to such an extent that they started protesting against it on social media with hashtags like #NoSurbhiNoIshqbaaaz #EndIshqbaaaz along with posters on streets too.
In fact, the producer was blamed for being unfair for not retaining her on the show and the channel, Star Plus was also questioned through hashtags like #SpeakUpStarPlus. Talking about it exclusively, to SpotboyE.com, Gul Khan said “How am I being biased? I am the same person who retained Surbhi Jyoti for 4 years and changed 6 heroes in Qubool Hai. So how is retaining Nakuul Mehta signaling that I am gender-biased? Shocking to hear! If you talk about Ishqbaaaz, a few more characters other than Surbhi will also be terminated after leap. Clearly, people are not being changed on the basis of gender here. So, it’s idiotic to accuse me or Star Plus' of being gender biased. All I can say is that creating issues because you have no logical reason is terribly funny and frustrating.”
On her exit, Surbhi Chandna also got candid with us and told us, “I am not disappointed with the producer's call. She is the maker. Who am I to ask her a question about her creative decision? Usko jo theek lagega, woh karegi na. I have been a part of Ishqbaaaz for two-and-half years and received so much of love and appreciation from people. It is far more than I would have ever imagined. I am signing off on a content note. I have no hard feelings. Producer ne bhi kuch sochke plan kiya hoga na.”
And now Star Plus shared a video of producer Gul Khan on their Instagram page in which we see her talking about her decision to bid farewell to the beautiful journey of Ishqbaaaz. Star Plus captioned the video as, “Beautiful stories create beautiful memories. Let’s cherish the memories of our wonderful six and welcome new beginnings. Thank you for all the love. #Ishqbaaaz

In the video, Gul says that she wants to give a logical ending to all the characters and with a heavy heart; she is ready to bid the popular show, a goodbye. She said that she will surely come up with a new season and we need to end stories on a beautiful note, so that there are fresh beginnings.
After Ishqbaaaz ends, you will get to witness a major revamp in which a new story with Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) and Anika’s ( Surbhi Chandna) son will take the story ahead. Auditions for the main lead have already started, states a source. Several actresses like Drashti Dhami, Sanaya Irani, Saam Daam Dand Bhed actress Sonal Vengurlekar are in the running for the female lead, and in fact Sonal has done a mock shoot already.
