Hiba Nawab Opens Up About Rape Allegations On Pearl V Puri; Actress Says ‘I Can Never Believe Whatever Has Happened’
Hiba Nawab, who worked with Pearl V Puri in the show Meri Saasu Maa speaks up about rape allegations against the actor. The actress expressed her disbelief on the matter
Television actor Pearl V Puri’s arrest last month came as a big shock to many from the entertainment industry. Many of his colleagues, including producer Ekta Kapoor, Divya Khosla Kumar and others extended support to the actor. Actress Hiba Nawab, who worked with Pearl V Puri in the show Meri Saasu Maa has now opened up about rape allegations against the actor. The actress expressed her disbelief on the matter. Hiba, who is a close friend of Pearl and observant spoke about the charges against him.
Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Hiba Nawab said she feels Pearl V Puri is very respectful towards women. She further mentioned that she has never seen anything weird with the actor while working with him. Hiba Nawab said, “I just feel that he is very respectful towards women, I've never seen anything weird or anything like that, Never ever. Yeah for a good one year, we were in touch and I've never seen him disrespecting any women. I can never believe whatever has happened."
While the actress expressed how she cannot believe what happened with Pearl and his arrest, she added, “So, honestly, I can't say anything, as far as I know, him he is a very nice person. I can't say anything further.” Hiba continued, “There are people in Judiciary, they will investigate and the truth will come out. So, I'm leaving it up to them definitely."
Last month, Pearl V Puri was taken into custody by Vasai’s Waliv police. He was charged under the allegation of raping a minor. Pearl was booked for rape under the section of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The actor was released on bail recently and his case is currently being handled by the honourable court of Vasai. Pearl made his first public appearance on his Birthday recently when he was visiting an orphanage.
