Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Actor Ghanashyam Nayak On Resuming Shoot After 4 Months Amid His Cancer Treatment: 'Everybody Was So Happy To See Me'- EXCLUSIVE
Actor Ghanashyam Nayak, who has worked in about 350 serials with 200 Gujarati and Hindi films, is currently essaying the role of Nattu Kaka in popular TV serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actor was recently diagnosed with Cancer and his son during an interview confirmed that his father is undergoing chemotherapy sessions once a month. 

In September last year, the veteran actor had developed a lump in his neck. He underwent a successful surgery for that as well. This year, in April, Nayak was diagnosed with some spots in his neck. Since then, he started undergoing chemotherapy. But his illness has not stopped 77-year-old actor from working. In fact, the actor's recent sequence which he shot for the show will be getting telecasted tonight. Ghanashyam Nayak told SpotboyE.com, "I am feeling well now. And have also started shooting for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Tonight my episode will go on air which I shot for them last month in Daman. It was a one day shoot and it is a very special scene. Our producer Asit Modi had called me for it and I throughly enjoyed shooting it. As it was after long four months that I got to act. Everyone was so happy to see me back on the sets. They took extra care of me on the sets and I was overwhelmed with thier gesture." Now, I am eagerly waiting for the crew to get back to our Mumbai sets. So that I can join them back soon."

"I feel around next week they will start shooting here. Right now they are shooting in Daman only and I have heard will be back in the city within 4-5 days," added Ghanshyam.

The dedicated actor doesn't want to give up on his acting due to his ill health as he says, "Main to marte dum tak shooting karna chahta hoon. My chemotharapy is going on for Cancer but other than that I have no other issues in my body. I can remember and say the dialouges also easily. My doctors have also permitted me to continue work."
