Nayanthara acknowledged that the film aimed to mirror life's journey. In her apology, she regretfully noted that, in their attempt to convey a positive message, they might have unintentionally caused distress. The actress conveyed surprise at the removal of a censored film that had already been screened in theatres. The film began streaming on Netflix on December 29 but was unexpectedly removed after two weeks. Controversy stirred around the movie when two complaints were lodged against Nayanthara and the filmmakers, alleging that specific scenes in the film offended the religious sentiments of Hindus. The complaints asserted that the film included controversial remarks about Lord Ram and also purportedly endorsed 'love jihad'.
