Ambani’s to-be-daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant has been making waves on the internet with her fashion statements as she attends many events and parties with her fiance Anant Ambani. One of the looks that stole the hearts of the netizens was her ensemble at the launch of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, held in March this year. While she looked gorgeous and oozed confidence in the black saree by Shahab Durazi, it came to notice that her choice of clothing was similar to that of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s look from 2018, when she attended Mickey Contractor's MAC Party.
Yes, you read that right! According to a report by Bollywood Shaadis, Radhika’s stunning black saree, with white detailing from the NMACC’s launch event was worn by Aishwarya a few years back. While the actress had stunned in the saree and kept her makeup plain only applying a bold red lipstick, the younger woman gave it an Indo-western touch by teaming her saree with a corset-style blouse with frill detailing on both sleeves. The Ambani bahu kept her look simple with red lipstick, a diamond neckpiece and earrings, a statement ring and a silver-coloured mini Hermes Kellymorphose bag. Radhika Merchant is the daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant. Both the families had gotten together for the Roka ceremony at the Shrinathji Temple at Nathdwara in Rajasthan in 2022. They got engaged in a lavish ceremony of Gol Dhana and Chunari Vidhi which was attended by the who's who of Bollywood on January 19th in Antilia. Fans have been eager to witness their grand wedding.
On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in the pan-Indian film Ponniyin Selvan 2, a sequel to Ponniyin Selvan 1. The Mani Ratnam directorial also stars Trisha Krishnan, Vikram and Karthi among many others.
