Mallika Dua and Akshay Kumar's war of words was one of the biggest newsmakers of 2017. While Akshay has refrained from commenting on the matter altogether, Mallika seems to have neither forgotten nor forgiven. In a series of posts on her Instagram stories, Ms Dua takes a jibe at Akshay's popular Pad Man challenge.

Here's what Mallika says, "Always remember, each time you feel weak, each time you feel lesser than your equals, each time you feel you've been made to feel lesser for no reason and that the fight has just begun...When you feel society and the govt havenot given you your due, hold up a sanitary pad and post a picture of it on instagram. You will feel empowered. So empowered. Bye (sic)."

Akshay's Pad Man challenge has definitely taken social media by storm as people from all walks of life are coming up and posting pictures holding a sanitary napkin.

Mallika surely seems to have held a grudge against Akshay.

For those who've come in late, here's what had happened: In a clip from The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Akshay was seen telling the comedienne while ringing the golden bell, "Mallika Ji, aap ghanti bajao main apko bajata hoon."

These words infuriated Mallika and her father Vinod Dua, who is a very popular journalist. The father-daughter duo took to social media to lash out at Akshay. While Akshay didn't respond at all, wife Twinkle Khanna responded to the accusations and later apologised for her comments on the whole incident.

From what Mallika's posts suggest, she surely isn't happy with the apology.
