Vivek Oberoi has been making headlines lately for many reasons. For the uninitiated, recently the news of him getting hospitalised in Chennai has been doing rounds on the internet. The rumours started after the death of Tamil actor Vivekh. Vivek took to his Twitter handle and debunked those rumours. In his tweet, Vivek mentioned that he is safe and healthy and is currently with his family in Mumbai. He further paid his tribute to Tamil actor Vivekh.
Taking to Twitter, Vivek Oberoi wrote, "There has been a false news report about me being hospitalised in Chennai, I would like to clarify that I am safe & healthy with my family in Mumbai, but deeply saddened to hear abt the demise of @Actor_Vivek from the Tamil industry. I extend my deepest condolences to his family."
Tamil actor Vivekh, who was put on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support at a hospital in Chennai after he suffered a cardiac arrest, died on Saturday. Samantha Akkineni, Rajinikanth, AR Rahman to Boney Kapoor, many paid tribute to the actor. Narendra Modi tweeted, "The untimely demise of noted actor Vivek has left many saddened. His comic timing and intelligent dialogues entertained people. Both in his films and his life, his concern for the environment and society shone through. Condolences to his family, friends and admirers. Om Shanti."

Samantha Akkineni shared a picture of the late actor and wrote, "My heart feels heavy as I write this. Vivek sir's passing feels like a personal loss. He was an actor, comedian, environmentalist and a great human being. My deep condolences to vivek sir's family. You will forever be a part of us. May your soul rest in peace. #ripviveksir."
