Today, the world celebrates the National Cancer Awareness Day, 2019. There have been many survivors whose stories are no less than an inspiration. Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife, Tahira Kashyap is also one of them. She has battled Breast Cancer, stage 1 and emerged as a winner.
We had met the lovely lady post her recovery for an elaborate chat. She spoke quote candidly about all the issues, just not Cancer, which she went through in the past. Right from her troubled marriage to how Ayushmann stood by her like a rock during her recovery process.

Tahira also spoke about how she used to be very possessive of her first and only boyfriend Ayushmann whom she'd tied knot with. However, his cosy scenes in films and his filmi duniya rattled his wife Tahira. It's never easy to get used to the blitzkrieg! For those who've come in late, Ayushmann had spoken about his rough patch with Tahira for the FIRST TIME on SpotboyE.com. And when we caught up with the dignified lady yesterday at Indigo (Lokhandwala), we realised that she was someone who says it as is. Talking about the troubled waters they swam in, Tahira emphasised that she had a problem then if Ayushmann kissed on screen. And then we asked the inevitable question: Did she think at any point that her marriage with Ayushmann wasn't going to last. Tahira was frank even on this, "I had given up many times, but he did not," she said it matter-of-factly.
Above all, we touched upon her film which she is going to direct for Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar. Tahira is very excited about it. "It will be shot entirely in Mumbai. It's a slice-of-life film, which will have 5 girls." Any girl who will be more like Tahira? "Oh, there's a bit of Tahira in every girl of that bunch of five," she concluded.
