Arjun Kapoor Hopes Dibakar Banerjee Plans A Sequel To Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, As Film Ends On A Brilliant Climax
Arjun Kapoor states Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar gave him a satisfying experience as an actor
After much delay Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar released on the digital platform owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. This Black comedy is garnering positive response from the viewers and Arjun Kapoor as reported in Hindustan Times has hinted at a sequel. The actor feels this Dibakar Banerjee directorial has a mind blowing climax, followed by which if the director wishes a sequel can also be made. And whenever it happens the actors will be ready to shoot.
The Panipat actor feels Dibakar can make a sequel that is broodier, edgier, and darker and he and Parineeti will come together for it again. On being asked if the film has potential for a sequel he said, “If you see the brilliant climax of the film that Dibakar has so masterfully designed, you will realise that there is definitely a scope for a sequel that can be dark, gritty, raw, and excessively thrilling.” Arjun hopes with the film getting a lot of appreciation the director gives a thought to the sequel.
He adds, “Now, with all the love and appreciation that the film is getting, it is up to my masterful director and his genius mind to tell us whether or not he is seeing this happening. I can assure you that whenever he gives us the green signal, Pari and I will be on to shoot.”
Thanking the director for believing in him and offering him to play a Haryanvi cop, Pinky Dahiya, he shares that Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar was a satisfying experience for him as an actor. Arjun said, “SAPF was an extremely satiating experience for me as an actor. It really took me to places that I didn't imagine going and all the appreciation I'm getting is because Dibakar saw me as Pinky Dahiya. I'm overwhelmed because I know how much Dibakar told me to believe in myself and submit to his process.”
