After a long struggle with cancer, Irrfan Khan passed away, this morning. We spoke to senior actress Hema Malini who was extremely saddened by his demise
After being diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer, Irrfan Khan fought a long battle with the disease, but surrendered to it on April 29, 2020. The whole industry is saddened and in extreme grief. Everybody has been offering their condolences to the family.
We spoke to senior actress Hema Malini about the disturbing news and she said, “I feel sad that such a wonderful actor passed away; a very young man. Of course he was going through some health problems. I knew it, but we all thought that he will recover and become better. Unfortunately, he passed away and it's extremely sad. He was such a natural actor. I had watched many of his films. I loved them so much."
We asked if she ever met him in real life, to which Hema ji said, "No, I never met him and we never acted together. Kabhi aisa opportunity mila hi nahi." She added, "I appreciated his work."
Irrfan Khan’s last film was Angrezi Medium alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan. Four days back, the actor's mother Saeeda Begum, 95, passed away.
