Kangana Ranaut Finds It “Embarrassing” To Be Compared With Alia Bhatt’s “Mediocre Work In Gully Boy”
Kangana Ranaut has launched a fresh attack on Alia Bhatt. It’s been quite some time, since the actress started taking potshots at her competitors including Alia, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar and many others. Right from telling Alia to ‘grow some spine’ to calling her Karan Johar’s ‘puppet’, Kangana is now embarrassed on being compared to the Gully Boy actress.

When Bollywood Life conducted a poll, asking fans to vote for their favourite actress, Kangana won the poll with 37% votes for her performance in Manikarnika, while Alia stood second and earned 33% votes. When the leading daily contacted Kangana and asked her about beating Alia in the race, she said that she is “embarrassed on being compared to her, and she also urged people to not ‘pamper her mediocre work’.”

The actress told the leading website, “I am embarrassed...What is there to beat in Gully Boy performance ....same snappy muh phat girl... Bollywood’s idea of a fiery girl, woman empowerment and good acting, spare me this embarrassment, please. Media has taken filmy kids love too far...stop pampering mediocre work or else bar will never be raised."

The Kangana-Alia war began when the former accused the latter for not standing by her film, Manikarnika. The actress even dragged Aamir Khan in it. However, both the stars gave it back to Kangana in their own sassy manners. While Alia stated that she has an opinion but would keep it to herself, Mr. Perfectionist had said, “Aaisa unhone mujhe toh nahi bola hai.”

Soon afterwards, Kangana again took a dig at Alia and Ranbir by saying, “woh bacche hai”. She had told Mid-day, "And what is this thing of calling them young...Ranbir Kapoor is 37 years old..young kid of the generation. My father was a middle-aged man in that time. And Alia Bhatt is turning 27...at 27 I was writing dialogues for Queen...I don't understand what is young thing; unko nahi pata hoga vo bacche hai. Kaunse bacche hai? My mother had three children at 27. This is absolutely unfair. Bacche hai ki dumb hai ki kya hai..You can't get away with this. At this age, at this stage, you should know. I am not saying they are some 12-13 year old and you are putting mike before their mouths and be like talk, talk. If they can be the highest taxpayers of this country then why can't they care about this country?"

Now, the latest comment from Ms Ranaut for Alia’s performance signifies that the actress is in no mood to spare her contemporaries. But hey, c’mon, you can’t ignore the fact that Alia has proved her mettle with every film of hers.

On the work front, Alia’s kitty is full with several projects. The multi-starrer Kalank will hit the theatres on April 17, after which she will start shooting for Karan Johar’s Takht, followed by SS Rajamouli’s RRR and father Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2.  Meanwhile, Kangana will next be seen in Jayalalithaa biopic and the actress also announced her second project as a director.
