It was a sad day in Bollywood as Raj Kapoor's wife Krishna Raj Kapoor left the world of living, this morning. Sadly, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh and Ranbir could not make it for the final rites, which were conducted at Chembur Crematorium around 5 30 pm. However, a bevy of stars from Amitabh Bachchan to Aamir Khan to Alia Bhatt to Sonam Kapoor amongst several others attended. Krishna Raj had been ailing for a long while now, and passed away in her sleep on Monday at 5 am.
Rishi is away for a medical treatment and had left only a day-and-half ago for the US. Randhir and Rajiv performed tbe last rites. Alia Bhatt did a heartwarming job of letting in Ranbir to see his granny's final rites by doing a video call from the crematorium. The last journey began from the Kapoors' Chembur residence around 4 30 pm. Krishnaji's mortal remains were brought from Breach Candy Hospital in the afternoon. There was speculation that Rishi and Ranbir might return for a day or two, but it was surely not possible for them to do so. Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Soha Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor were also seen. WATCH THE FULL FUNERAL BELOW:
