Akshay Kumar might be enjoying the London weather but his heart is still back in India. Kumar took to his social media to share the first poster of the upcoming film, Mission Mangal. The actor who is now synonymous with recreating a real-life story that is close tot he motherland, India, revealed the intriguing poster which encapsulates the journey of India to the Mars.
Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal is based on team Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and its journey to Mars. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Sharman Joshi and Sonakshi Sinha in pivotal roles. The poster released by the actor focuses the inspiring cast of the film aiming to achieve a goal. Directed by Jagan Shakti, Mission Mangal sings the unsung victory of the team that helped in the completion of the project Mars in 2013-2014. It tells the story of Indian scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission, which marked India's first interplanetary expedition. The film is produced under the banner of Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions, Fox Star Studios and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
The Mars Orbiter Mission or Mangalyaan is a space probe orbiting Mars since September 24, 2014. The probe was launched on November 5th, 2013 by Indian Space Reseach Organisation is popularly known as ISRO.
Mission Mangal is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 15, 2019
