Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, who are currently shooting for Simmba in Hyderabad, are gearing up to recreate a ‘90s song for their film. The two will dance to a contemporary version of Ladka Aankh Maare, originally featuring Arshad Warsi and Simran, from Tere Mere Sapne (1996). The number was originally sung by Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy.
A source close to Mumbai Mirror revealed, “The song has been recreated by Tanishk Bagchi who has been working on the new version since the past few months. It has new beats to appeal to the Gen X but the fun element is intact, which was Rohit’s brief.”
Source further adds, “In Simmba, Ranveer and Sara’s characters will be seen teasing and flirting with each other.”
Talking about the original film, Tere Mere Sapne also starred Chandrachur Singh and Priya Gill in the lead. “In Simmba, Ranveer and Sara’s characters will be seen teasing and flirting with each other,” adds the source. Buzz is, Ganesh Acharya has been approached to choreograph the song.
