Creating a panic and rumours over a star’s death is not something new, but obviously it’s the most disrespectful act one can think of.

On April 6, a picture of veteran actor Vinod Khanna in the hospital went viral. To everyone’s shock, the actor looked extremely weak and in a bad shape. Social media went buzzing with news that the star is facing some cancer issues.

SpotboyE.com reported on thursday that the actor’s son Sakshi Khanna has said the family will issue a statement on Vinod Khanna’s health soon. However, some shameless ones, who may be don’t have a job to do, started posting news on social media about Vinod Khanna’s demise. One of them even wrote that the news has come from Osho (in 1982 Khanna quit films and followed the path of sanyas and resided in the ashram for 5 long years).

This caused a chain reaction and people thought since it’s a news from OSHO it might be genuine. That’s how the rumour spread like a wild fire.

What’s more disgusting is that the family was bombarded with calls from various places to check on the authenticity of the news. Imagine the plight of the family members who are already disturbed and attending to the ailing actor in the hospital- and then they clarify such rumours through the night.

The pandemonium caused is irreparable but what's annoying is that this has become a habit now among those who derive sadistic pleasure out if it, especially with veteran actors who are ageing. A lot of times, Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar have been victims of this shameless act.

Meanwhile, Suchitra Krishnamoorti posted a message about the same on her social media handle, condemning the act.

As of now no official statement has been given by the family about the development in Vinod Khanna’s health. He is presently admitted in HN Reliance Foundation and Research Centre in Girgaon, Mumbai and his family is beside him.
