Kavach 2: Face The Good And Bad Of Deepika Singh; Actress To Have A Double Role!

It’s double dhamaaka for Deepika Singh Goyal’s fans as the actress is not only returning to the small screen with Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural drama, Kavach 2, but she is coming back in 2 avatars. You guessed it! Deepika has a double role in the show.
SpotboyE.com has found out this interesting piece of news, which the makers tried hard to keep under wraps- Deepika plays the protagonist, Sandhya in the show and also portrays the role of Daayan. So, you will see Deepika fight herself in this thriller. While you will be introduced to Sandhya right in the first episode, the evil Deepika will make an entry in the show almost after a month. Kavach 2 will premiere on June 1. The first promo of the show hit social media, a few weeks back.
Besides Deepika, Namik Paul plays the lead and interestingly he had bagged the role last moment, as he was already finalised for a parallel lead in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 but Ekta felt he suited the character in Kavach 2 better, and hence he was shifted overnight.
Coming to Deepika Singh Goyal, well the actress returns to the small screen after her maternity break with the same on-screen name, Sandhya, which she also had in Diya Aur Baati Hum, the role which made her a household name. Expressing her happiness about the same, in an earlier conversation with us, Deepika had told us, "It’s just a coincidence. When I auditioned for the show, the name was already decided along with the concept its concept. I guess the Universe conspired so that I get the same amount of love and support from my fans yet again. I hope and pray that the show gets immense love and acceptance.”
