For the uninitiated, a little background is necessary. Krishnananda Agamavagisha was a noted Kulin Bengali Brahmin from Sreehatta. He was a renowned scholar and sadhaka of tantra, who lived around 1575 CE. He is the author of Tantrasara. Krishnananda is considered to be one of the greatest exponents of tantric activism in Bengal. The worship of Goddess Kali as Dakshinakali is often attributed to Krishnananda.
“Keeping Krishnananda in mind, my film consists of three short stories with a backdrop of paranormal, psychic situations. Black magic, witchcraft, reincarnations also play an important part in my film. But the essence of my message is, honour your creator. Don’t wait for Grace to be bestowed upon you. Do whatever you can to make grace happen,” says Raajhorshee De.
Purbo Poschim Dokkhin Uttor Ashbei is slated to release in late November, 2019.
